EmiratesSkills National Competition

 

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, ACTVET organizes the 15th edition of EmiratesSkills National Competition, ​which will be held in ADNEC, from 22-24 April 2024.


EmiratesSkills National Competition is held annually to celebrate Emirati talents and contribute to enhancing the skills of the Emirati youth, empowering them with industry-relevant skills for active participation in the country's sustainable development.​

Aligned with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, the goals of the EmiratesSkills National Competition include increasing awareness about careers based on technical and vocational education among Emirati youth. This aims to prepare a national workforce to serve economic and technological growth in the UAE. The Competition attracts talented Emiratis in technical and vocational fields to compete according to international standards, and subsequently representing the UAE in international skills competitions.




 Importance of the EmiratesSkills National Competition

The competition supports industrial development in the UAE by fostering a high degree of accuracy and precision in technical skills among Emirati youth.

The competition also encourages participants to face the challenge of competing in skill competitions at the national, regional, and international levels. This enhances the competitive ability of youth, motivating them to continually improve their skills and strive for excellence.​




About the Skills

Official Skills

are aligned with WorldSkills Competition. Winners of the EmiratesSkills National Competition are eligible to compete in WorldSkillsGCC and WorldSkills Competitions.

​Other Skills

These skills have been specifically added to the National Skills Competition as per government directives aimed at developing the skills of Emirati youth in particular fields. It's important to note that these skills are not part of the World Skills Competition.

(Winners in these skills are not qualified to compete in the World Skills Competition or the Gulf Skills Competition.)
